Engage your first players, and build momentum you can carry into the following weeks.
Prepare your app
Before inviting anyone, add your core modules (People, Events, News Feed), populate at least one event or post, add a few initial profiles to People, and customize module names and icons. Your app should feel alive from day one, not like an empty shell.
How players get in
The fastest path is a direct link or QR code (see 2.2 Distribution): share it via WhatsApp, email, posters, or event materials, and it installs Movn if needed, activates your app, and takes the player straight in. Players can also find your app by downloading Movn and searching the Movn app store, but only if it's set to Public; a Private app stays link/QR-only.
Find your first players
Start with a focused, engaged group, your existing community, past event participants, or your internal team, rather than a broad cold audience. Then be proactive: share the link everywhere, send personal invitations, and explain clearly why it's worth joining.
Make the first visit count
New players should find something worthwhile within seconds (an event to register for, a post, familiar names in People) and a clear first action to take (complete a profile, register, join a conversation). Early interaction is what drives long-term engagement.
Keep the momentum
Send only a few well-timed notifications (launch, first event, a profile reminder, see 4.4), and stay actively present in the first days: answer questions quickly, post regularly, and watch engagement. Your presence early on sets the tone for the community going forward.
