Reaching your first 100 players is a milestone worth treating deliberately, it's not about scale yet, it's about building an engaged, high-quality core before you grow further.
Start with people you already know
Your first players should come from your existing network: members, clients, or students, past event participants, colleagues or partners, your own personal network. Don't start from zero, start from trust.
Lead with the direct link, and invite personally
Your link or QR code is the fastest way in (see 2.2 Distribution): share it via WhatsApp, email, community groups, or event QR codes, it installs the app if needed, activates it inside Movn, and takes players straight into your app. For your first 20 to 30 players, skip mass messages, invite them personally, explain why it's useful to them, and ask for feedback. These early players become your core community.
Give them a reason to join now
People act on urgency, not "join later": an upcoming event, exclusive content, access to a community, or a specific action like registering or voting. Events are one of your best acquisition tools too, share the link for registration beforehand, display QR codes at the entrance or on screens during it, and follow up with content and photos after, a single event can bring in dozens of players at once.
Get them active, then let them bring others
Getting players in isn't enough, encourage them to complete their profile, explore the People module, register for an event, or join a conversation. Once you have a first group, encourage them to invite others, and use the People module to surface familiar faces, people join where they already know someone.
Stay focused on quality
100 engaged players beat 1,000 inactive ones. Watch out for the common traps: launching with no content, sending only mass messages, not explaining the value, or waiting for players to show up organically. Think of your first 100 as founding members, once they understand the value, use the app, and invite others, growth follows naturally.
